Proposed Administrative Procedures to Activate Digital Platforms in Jordanian Universities Based on the Microsoft Office 365 System
This research endeavors to enhance the digital learning infrastructure within Jordanian universities, with a particular emphasis on leveraging the capabilities of the Microsoft Office 365 system. Employing a synthetic analytical research methodology, the study meticulously evaluates the current preparedness of Jordanian academic institutions for the adoption of distance learning and e-learning modalities. Alarmingly, the findings indicate that a significant majority—81%—of academic leaders perceive their institutions as inadequately equipped for such educational paradigms. In response, the study meticulously formulates a set of administrative procedures aimed at facilitating the activation of digital platforms within Jordanian universities. These protocols encompass facilitating faculty members' seamless access to digital and global platforms, designing educational content according to established global models, establishing faculty accounts on university platforms, preparing and uploading digital course components, and proposing strategic measures for universities to consider in activating educational platforms based on the MS365 system. With a lexicon comprising terms such as digital platforms, distance education, e-learning, and Jordanian universities, this research underscores the imperative of embracing technological innovation to foster transformative educational endeavors.
